I was asked to do a Daryl – Season 6 image for a belated birthday gift. This was a fun challenging piece to get do. Took me longer than I thought to draw the impression out for transfer as his face, lets face it, is mostly hair. I had trouble getting his body to fit proportions to his head. Lots of frustrating hours erasing what I drew and starting over. But once completed I was very excited to get this transferred to canvas. Then it became a 9-10 hour sit in to start and finish this. By the end I had a slightly severe cramping in my right hand from holding the brushes all night. I feel like I could have gone a bit deeper with the shading on his face but I wanted the details I had put in to be visible.
