Not quite a year since the last written update. I am active I promise, more so on the social media front. If you watch me on that front you may have noticed some changes that have come this year. This will be my year and I am pushing myself to see what I can do. The year of making things happen. Maybe a craft show down the road? Who knows.
It has come to that time of year for costumes and madness. Now only a few short 8 weeks and only ideas and promises in my work space. Time to really step on the pedal and go. Late nights and pushing myself to get things done now take priority. This year is Winter Soldier and Captain America for a friend and I. Along with the Sly Cooper that did not get finished in time for last year for my brother. These will include full accessories. We are beyond thrilled for a costume without heels. Combat boots for the biggest win possible.
This year also marks the year that I am making an active effort and making a change for me. I am loading my shop with new items and opening up to different venues for things I cannot provide myself but allows me to get other forms of my work to others. As of the beginning of this week i’m officially on Threadless.com. This is going to allow my drawn and digital art to take purchase on something other than my note book. Shirts, mugs, pillows, and more will become available with all of my one of a kind creations. I had been searching for a while for a outlet that would let me pursue this portion of my expansion that was set up in a way that was easy to use and the best for my customers. This is still in the works for uploads but I am pushing by end of MAR at the latest for some work there for purchase.
I have always wanted this venture in my life to be more than just a hobby. I would love to be able to support myself off of what I creatively do. Get away from the corporate 9 to 5 as it were. Even if I could cut hours at the regular day job and pursue this part time vs whatever time I have left in a day. That is my ultimate goal. The perk and ability I have right now is a family that support my crazy craft hording space and lets me do what I want. That is letting me stay at home rent free to pursue this. Granted I do not even make enough to move out so I have no where to go but they are not cramping my crafting instead are encouraging it.
